- Sacraments: Please note that only Baptized, Chrismated Orthodox Christians in canonical good standing may receive the Sacraments (Holy Communion, Holy Unction when offered, etc.). If you have any questions, please reach out to Fr. George.
- Venerating Icons: In order to protect our icons and liturgical items, please blot any lip products before venerating icons or approaching to receive Holy Communion.
- Pastoral Visits: If you know of a parishioner who lives in an assisted-living facility or is physically unable to attend services, please contact the Church Office to schedule a visit from Fr. George.
- Memorial Services: If you would like to hold a memorial service, please contact the office at least two weeks prior to the desired date of the service.

Dance Group Parking Fundraiser
Support our Dance Groups by parking at 2311 York Road, Timonium during the Maryland State Fair on Sunday, September 13. Proceeds will help fund dance group activities, and a portion will be donated to United Way.

Renovation Update & Access to the Cathedral
Building Construction Updates
Renovation activities continue in the Education Building and Cathedral Undercroft. Work is underway on the Education building roof, including installation of HVAC units and the replacement of the lower roof above the Preston Street doors. BGE will disconnect power from 9/14 to 9/18 to install new panels. The Education Building's power will be supplied by generators with no disruption to operations within the building. Please note that all levels of the Education Building are an active work zone and off limits unless accompanied by a representative from Whiting-Turner.
The 1st floor ramp entrance and bathroom are available on weekends starting on Friday evening for sacraments and liturgy on Sunday. The ramp and restroom is not available Monday through Friday. The restrooms in the AOC are available for use during weekday services.
Nativity of the Theotokos Services
Service at St. Mary's
Orthros and Divine Liturgy for the Nativity of the Theotokos will be held at St. Mary's Antiochian Orthodox Church on 9/7 at 6pm, with an agape meal and reception to follow.

Cathedral Parking Lots Info
Hang Tag Requirements
Cathedral Parking Lots: All parishioners are required to display a parking hang tag when using the Cathedral 'North Lot' (1301 Maryland Ave). Tags are available in the church office (Sun-Fri) for a $5 fee. Please bring your vehicle's year, make, model, color, and license tag number with you. For those who have the white parking tag from years past, please provide us with your car's information listed above. Please contact the church office with questions, 410-727-1831.
Note: The 'South Lot' (1205 Maryland Ave) is a 'for payment public lot'. Cathedral parishioners have free access to this lot available for parishioners only on Sundays from 12:01am-4pm, unless otherwise noted via a Flocknote or Bulletin message. If you choose to use this lot any other day or time, payment is required.

Application Deadline Sept 27
Cathedral Choir music scholarship applications are available now for pickup in the office or by emailing Fifi Nichols, Choir Director, at fnichols1@verizon.net. All Cathedral Concert Series proceeds will benefit these scholarships, including those of Georgia Topal Tangires, Rev. Constantine Monios, and Dimitri Valmas. Deadline to apply is 9/27.

Faithful Commitment
Please complete the 2026 pledge form. Stewardship is a personal decision where the individual or family decides how much to give. Stewardship does not have minimums and is not a dues system. To be a member-in-good-standing you must submit an annual pledge and fulfill it in the same year.
The success of the All Together/Oli Mazi Capital Campaign reflects our parish's strength, yet it funds renovations, not operations or ministries. Renovations will also limit fundraising. The Miracle at Colassai of Archangel Michael
Feast Commemoration
The feast today in honour of the Archangel Michael commemorates the great miracle he wrought when he delivered from destruction a church and holy spring named for him. The pagans, moved by malice, sought to destroy the aforesaid church and holy spring by turning the course of two rivers against them. But the Archangel appeared and, by means of the Cross and a great earthquake that shook the entire area, diverted the waters into an underground course. Henceforth, the name of that place changed from Colossae to Chonae, which means "funnels" in Greek.

Parable of the Marriage Feast
The Lord said this parable, "The kingdom of heaven may be compared to a king who gave a marriage feast for his son, and sent his servants to call those who were invited to the marriage feast; but they would not come. Again he sent other servants, saying, 'Tell those who are invited, Behold, I have made ready my dinner, my oxen and my fat calves are killed, and everything is ready; come to the marriage feast.' But they made light of it and went off, one to his farm, another to his business, while the rest seized his servants, treated them shamefully, and killed them. The king was angry, and he sent his troops and destroyed those murderers and burned their city. Then he said to his servants, 'The wedding is ready, but those invited were not worthy. Go therefore to the thoroughfares, and invite to the marriage feast as many as you find.' And those servants went out into the streets and gathered all whom they found, both bad and good; so the wedding hall was filled with guests.
